Cyberchondriacs and Getting to the Root of the Problem
Are you a cyberchondriac? What do you do when you have a strange pain, illness, or any other health problem? If the first thing you do is to google on the internet, you're a lot like 75% of U.S. Americans facing high hospital and doctor visit prices and who would rather try to self-diagnose and treat their symptoms. A “cyberchondriac” is someone who uses the internet to find information on health or health care. However, there is a big danger in doing this, which is misdiagnosing, and if symptoms persist or change, you may actually make things worse.
The same goes for a business or organization. If you have a problem that occurs over and over again, it may be time to invest in root cause analysis training. Root cause analysis is a group of methods which help organizations to identify, resolve and eliminate problems that arise.
