  • The World is Getting Smaller with Help from a Global Learning Management System

Remember when we used to think getting on an airplane made the world a much smaller place? Well, technically it does, but you still have to spend hours, sometimes days, getting from Point A to Point B.

Now, with a global learning management system in place, you can span the globe and do it in your language of choice. Corporations with international locations can give their non-English speaking employees the ability to participate in online learning by making it available in their native languages. Coggno has upgraded their learning management system to incorporate materials in Russian, Spanish, German and Portuguese, for use in the countries that speak these languages or anywhere else in the world.

Employees are brought together not by airplanes, but by technology. Anyone with a high-speed Internet connection can log on from anywhere to access learning materials in the language they are comfortable with. Yes, the world has gotten even smaller; but you don’t have to travel very far to take advantage of it.

During this time period of experimentation, failure, success, and and professional movement, many people realize that they're in need of specific skillls in order to be able to do the work they'd really like to be doing. This is where online learning comes in, to fill the knowledge gaps.

  • Cyberchondriacs and Getting to the Root of the Problem

Are you a cyberchondriac? What do you do when you have a strange pain, illness, or any other health problem? If the first thing you do is to google on the internet, you're a lot like 75% of U.S. Americans facing high hospital and doctor visit prices and who would rather try to self-diagnose and treat their symptoms. A “cyberchondriac” is someone who uses the internet to find information on health or health care. However, there is a big danger in doing this, which is misdiagnosing, and if symptoms persist or change, you may actually make things worse.

The same goes for a business or organization. If you have a problem that occurs over and over again, it may be time to invest in root cause analysis training. Root cause analysis is a group of methods which help organizations to identify, resolve and eliminate problems that arise.
